About Phantom Parts
Semitransparent parts with the phantom display style add spatial context to your technical illustration without distracting from the subject. For example, apply phantom display style to any of the following parts:
Reference-only parts
Obsolete or previously replaced parts
Enclosure parts such as panels and doors (for “see-inside” effects)
Phantom part shading and edge lines match the current render mode with all colors rendered in grayscale. Callouts and other annotations on phantom parts render normally. You can change the default appearance of the phantom display, or the appearance of the active figure only.
You can select phantom parts in the sBOM tree and Item List the same way you select nonphantom parts. You can also hide and unhide phantom parts. When you unhide phantom parts, they keep their phantom display style.
