About Matching Schematic Data
Access to the matching and cross-selection functions depends on your edition of Creo Illustrate and whether you have a Schematic Illustrator license installed.
You can preview, investigate and manage cross selection matches. After you load 3D and Schematic data, the information between the two files is automatically matched using the objects’ attribute IDs.
Use the cross select tool to perform the following functions on 3D and Schematic data:
Filter the 3D and Schematic sBOM tree views to display the matched or unmatched parts.
Preview matches by selecting a part or item to see both the 3D part and corresponding schematic item highlight.
Find matches using visual recognition or by matching attribute values.
Create matches between a 3D part and Schematic item by dragging between sBOMs.
Remove incorrect or outdated matches.
Exclude items or parts in the sBOM that are not relevant for matching.
Filter match results.
