Logical names are automatically assigned to members of parent objects to identify them within the object. Use the function [dg_get_logical_name()] to display the logical name of a member in a report or a label. Each member of the parent is identified using a logical name within the component.

If the object is a member in a variable group, the logical number is a pair of integers [a, b]. In this case, a is the main index number and b is the variable index number of the group member.
