About Datatables and Datasets
Datatables are tables of parameters, that are provided by real-world parts used to define a set of parameters specific to a certain manufacturer. The first row in the table under the title defines the column headings or parameters. Each additional row in the table is a set of values for these parameters and is called a dataset. The complete collection of rows in a table is called a datatable. A datatable is associated with items in the catalog. When you instance the item, you select a specific dataset for the instance from the datatable.
The following actions are performed on datatables and datasets:
A datatable can be created and imported as a CSV file.
Datatables can be associated with a catalog item.
A Dataset can be applied to an instance, setting a set of parameters for that instance.
These parameters can be displayed in a label.
Datasets can be searched based on parameter criteria.
