Placing Associated Geometry Components
Wire harnesses may contain some electrically inactive components, which may or may not be associated with other electrically active or in active components. For example, boots, back shells, dust caps, grommets, and manifolds such as ‘T’, ‘Y’, and multiple entry components. These components have geometry but no electrical connection to the wire harness conductors.
For Associated Geometry Components (AGC) to appear on the harness manufacturing drawing, they must be explicitly associated with the harness. You should attach the AGCs to the harness assembly by using the Attach to Harness option.
Workflow to Include AGCs in the Harness Manufacturing Drawing
1. Model the AGCs as per the library modelling rules.
3. Run HMX.
