Updating Creo+
The following types of updates can be pushed to a user:
Change in the build version of Creo+.
Change in the build version of PTC Control Center.
If an active session of Creo+ is running at the time, you are informed about the updates. In some cases you are prompted to save your work, close the session and exit Creo+ as the update is installed and activated immediately. In other cases, you can delay the installation of the updates using the “Remind me later” setting.
For updates of the PTC Control Center, you must first exit Creo+ to allow the Control Center to close and update itself because the PTC Control Center cannot exit and update until Creo+ exits.
When you click the Update button the updates are activated on your computer.
The PTC Control Center pauses updates if you are using a metered network connection.
Updates by the Administrator
Additionally, the Administrator can also make the following updates:
Configurations settings of Creo+.
License entitlement for a user.
Floating license entitlement for a profile.
In these cases the user is informed of these changes in the PTC Control Center and as Windows notifications.
