Upgrading Codebeamer and Codebeamer AI
Adhere to the following instructions when upgrading Codebeamer and Codebeamer AI:
• After upgrading to the new version of Codebeamer:
◦ Download the compatible AI plugin: cb‑ai‑plugin.jar file from the PTC Software Download - Codebeamer AI page.

If the AI plugin version is not compatible with the new Codebeamer version, the webserver may crash during startup.

For supported plugin versions, refer to the PTC Release Advisor.
◦ Manually install the AI plugin using the compatible cb‑ai‑plugin.jar file. This approach ensures that the upgraded Codebeamer server starts normally. Do not start Codebeamer before installing the plugin.
• If you are upgrading to Codebeamer 3.2.0.0 from any previous version, you must recreate the service principal to regenerate the Client ID and Client Secret and use the new credentials to integrate Codebeamer with the PTC SaaS Platform.
