The appearance and functionality of the Equation Editor Palette is controlled by a file called apteqn.cf, which the Equation Editor reads at startup. If you wish to save changes you have made to your Palette, use the Save configuration command under the File menu. This command writes a private apteqn.cf file to your application data directory. This is usually C:\Document and Settings\user_name\Application Data\PTC\Arbortext\Editor.

Your private file will override the public file used at your site. To go back to the default Palette, remove the private file in your application data directory.
