Adding a Group of Characters to the Equation Editor Palette
1. In the Equation Editor window, highlight the characters that you want to place on the Palette.
2. Press F3 or choose Commands > Keyboard Equivalents > Put Symbol on Palette from the menu.
When you want to insert the new symbols into an equation, select the button as you would any other Palette button: just click on the symbol.
3. If you want to save the symbols you added for the next editing session, choose File > Save Configuration.
This command writes a private apteqn.cf file to your application data directory. The application data directory is the directory where your operating system stores user-specific data. This is usually C:\Document and Settings\user_name\Application Data\PTC\Arbortext\Editor. Your private file will override the public file used at your site. To go back to the default Palette, remove the private file in your application data directory.
