About Exploring Topology Optimization Results
You work with the results of a topology optimization study on the Results tab. Use either of the methods described below to open the Results tab:
• When you run an optimization study successfully, in the Optimization Status window, click Show Results.
• When a model contains saved optimization studies, in the Model Tree, right-click a study and choose
Show Results.
You can work with the results of a topology optimization study by exploring the items listed below:
• Different response types, such as topology element density, displacement, element stress, element strain, element strain energy, grid stress, reaction force, mode shape, or temperature.
• Different analyses, components, and modes.
• An isosurface created by the results, with or without the associated topology region, and choose the cutoff for included elements.
• The color mesh.
• Deformation with different static and animated views.
• Optimized elements only, and hiding all others.
• A cross section along various axes.
You can also step through the optimization one design cycle at a time.
