To Treat a Surface as a Chamfer
To treat a surface or chamfer like geometry as a chamfer:
1. Select a surface or chamfer like geometry. Any surface adjacent to a chamfer is considered as a chamfer like geometry.
2. Click Home and then click the arrow next to Chamfers.
3. Click Recognize Chamfers. An Options Toolbar opens.
4. Middle-click to complete the operation.

All chamfers created in Creo Direct and Creo Parametric are treated as chamfers by default. Such chamfers or surfaces created by editing tool such as Move or Offset are displayed in the green color.
The surfaces not treated (not recognized) as chamfers are highlighted in the blue color.
The following surfaces are displayed in the default model color:
Surfaces that look like chamfers but are not created by Chamfer operation.
Chamfer-like surfaces that are imported from Creo Parametric or other CAD systems.
Chamfer-like surfaces, which are created by extruding, revolving, or sweeping arcs and are not treated as chamfer, are highlighted in the assigned model color.
