About Working with 3D Geometry
In 3D mode you can create solid and surface geometry using 2D geometry or sketches. Creating an extrusion, revolution, or a sweep typically result in 3D geometry. The other 3D geometry creation methods in Creo Direct follow:
Pattern
Hole
Round
Chamfer
Shell
Draft
The following points may be useful as you work with 3D geometry:
Geometry is created dynamically as you select entities and click various tools and options.
You can select a combination of entity types even as a tool is partially active.
You can select and use sketch regions for extruding, revolving, and sweeping geometry.
You must middle-click the graphics window or select other entities to complete a geometric operation.
When creating rounds or chamfers, some of the surfaces that you select for the creation carry additional round or chamfer information. This information is attached automatically during the creation of rounds or chamfers. This information may also be attached during surface recognition and is updated automatically during the modification of the associated rounds or chamfers.
