To Create a Copy of a Component Instance
1. In an activated assembly (assembly mode), select a part from the graphics window or on the Model Tree.
2. Click Home and then click New Instance.
3. Click Copy as New Occurrence. The Copy Component dialog box opens.
4. In the Name box, type a name for the part.

* The part name should be unique in the parent assembly.
5. The Parent Assembly box displays the name of the parent assembly of the selected part. To change the parent assembly, click the Parent Assembly box and select another assembly from the model tree.
6. Click OK to close the Copy Component dialog box. The Position command gets activated and an Options Toolbar appears for positioning the component (part) instance. You can reposition the copy of the part.
7. Middle-click to complete the operation.
A copy of the part (component) instance selected in step 1 is inserted under the selected parent assembly. The default parent assembly is the parent assembly of the original part. You can select another parent assembly.
All the user-defined parameters of the original part (component) are applied to its copy.
