Example 1: Extending an Edge Along a Surface
The images in this example show how edges of a quilt or surface are extended. You can use the Same and Tangent methods of extension.

The following image shows how the surface extends when you use the Same option. The surface extension is of the same type as the original surface. It is extended by the specified distance, which is 55 units in this example.
Figure 3: Tangent Method
The following image shows how the surface extends when you use the Tangent option. The surface is extended as a ruled surface that is tangential to the original surface.
