About the Line/Arc Chain Tool

The line tool creates a chain of lines or arcs. You can use this tool to create connected vertical, horizontal, or other line types. Use the S key to toggle between the Line Creation and Arc Creation modes. You can toggle to the Line Creation mode even as an arc is rubberbanding. After the arc is created, the Line Creation mode is activated again.

Use the line tool to create the following types of line or arc:

Line Tool	Description
Line/Arc Chain	Creates connected lines and arcs.
Tangent	Creates a line tangent from an arc or a circle. Make sure that you have an arc, circle, or a spline as a part of your sketch.
