About Creo Direct
Creo Direct is a part and assembly modeling application. It helps you create 2D and 3D models through direct interaction with geometry. Creo Direct follows the history-free design approach. That is, geometric entities created during the design process are independent of each other. You can make changes to the basic design elements at any point with little impact to the overall design. Creo Direct is interoperable with other Creo applications. The geometry created in Creo Direct is compatible with all the Creo applications.
Some key operations in the Creo Direct Modeling environment follow:
Create 2D and 3D geometry dynamically without defining any parameters, features, or dependencies.
Create parts using geometry only. Use these parts to build assemblies using simple, common, and easy-to-follow workflows.
Edit 3D design data regardless of its origin before analysis. Propose design changes directly on the model unrestricted by constraints and dimensions.
Open Creo Parametric parts, update them, and save them.
Import and export geometry to and from Creo Direct to share and reuse engineering data.
Integrate with a Product Data Management (PDM) solution such as Windchill to control design data and gather feedback from suppliers and users.
