Modifying the view using the mouse
You can view a model dynamically by using either a combination of keyboard and mouse actions, the dynamic viewing menu, or an optional dynamic viewing device. Creo Elements/Direct Modeling supports the Spaceball (2003/3003) and the 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse as 3D viewing devices.
The easiest and most frequently used method for moving objects in the viewport is by using the mouse.
To change the view using the mouse,
Middle-click and drag the cursor to rotate (spin).
Right-click and drag the cursor to pan.
Scroll wheel (Middle-click and rotate) to zoom.
*
To change the mouse interaction mode,
1. Click File > Settings > Viewport. The Viewport Settings dialog box opens.
2. Click the CoCreate mouse interaction mode check box in the Dynamic Viewing pane of the Viewport Settings dialog box.
In CoCreate mouse interaction mode, press the CTRL key and:
Middle-click and drag the cursor to rotate (spin).
Left-click and drag the cursor to pan.
Right-click and drag the cursor to zoom in or out.
*
The spot where you click to begin rotating an object is the axis of rotation. To fix the axis of rotation to the center of the viewport, click View and then, in the Viewing group, click Center Mode.
