Updating a Part from the Library Browse Window
You can update the active part in the System file from the Library Browse window. The data for the part that you select in the Library Browse window replaces the data for the active part in the Parts Table. For more information, see Library Browse Window.
1. In the System Tree Items table or Parts Table, select the part.
2. To open the Library Browse window, do one of the following:
In the Parts Table, right-click and select Browse Libraries.
Select Prediction > Browse Libraries.
In the standard toolbar, click Browse Libraries.

The auto-hide Library Browse window opens in the pinned mode.
3. In its Search pane, supply the search criteria to use. For more information, see:
If you do not supply any search criteria, when you initiate the search, all parts in all enabled Libraries selected in Search for are retrieved.
4. When finished, click Search or press Enter to initiate the search.

Search results are shown in the Results pane.
5. In its Results pane, do the following:
a. Select the part with the data to use in the update.
b. Click Update.
In the Options window, options under the Parts Library Updates heading control how the update is performed. For more information, see Parts Library Updates User Options.
When the update completes, a window opens, indicating the part was updated.
6. Click OK to close this window. The Library Browse window remains open in case you want to insert or update additional parts.
7. When you are finished inserting or updating parts, close the Library Browse window by clicking the X in the upper right corner of the window.
