FIDES Part Parameters
When using a FIDES model, failure rates for all parts within the system are calculated using this model. You cannot override the model selection for individual parts within the system. The part categories and subcategories that are used for FIDES models are those defined in the FIDES 2004 and 2009 standards.

The FIDES 2009 model for parts stress analysis typically requires more part parameters than the FIDES 2009 Parts Count model. The FIDES 2009 Families Count model either requires the same or fewer parameters than the Parts Count model.
