Enabling a Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor File for a FIDES Assembly
To enable a Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor file for a lead free assembly, a FIDES 2009 model must be selected for the top-most assembly. In addition to assuming that this model is selected, the following procedure assumes that a Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor file has already been completed for the assembly.

No lead free calculations run for assemblies without an inherited or specified Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor file.

1. If the System file is not already open, then open it.
2. In the System Tree Items table, select the assembly.
3. In the assembly’s Calculation Data pane, click the browse button for FIDES Lead Free Factor file.
A window opens for selecting from all Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor files. For more information, see Selecting or Creating a File Using a Selection Window.
4. To select a file, click it. The window closes, and your selection for FIDES Lead Free Factor file is now shown.
Because all assemblies beneath this assembly inherit this file selection, you need only to specify override selections for these assemblies.
5. To override an assembly’s inherited selection, repeat steps 2 through 4.
The next time you run prediction calculations, your file selections for lead free assemblies are used to adjust the failure rates calculated for these assemblies.
