Completing Question Sets for the FIDES Application Factor
In the Application Questions panes of the Prediction FIDES Application Factor file, you complete the question set for the mission phase currently selected in the Application Phases pane. You must complete a question set for each phase. As you complete the question set for a phase, the Pi Application factor is calculated for this phase. The Application Phases pane displays the current Pi Application factor for all phases. These calculated values are display-only.
1. If the Prediction FIDES Application Factor file is not already open, then open it.
2. For each phase in the Application Phases pane, do the following to calculate the appropriate Pi application factor:
a. Select the phase for which to supply answers. The question set for this phase appears in the Application Questions pane. For phase insertion information, see Inserting FIDES Application Phases.
b. In the Application Questions pane, select levels for appropriate questions in the Answer column. For more information, see Application Questions Pane.
c. In the Application Phases pane, view the updated Pi application factor for the phase.
3. Once Pi application factors have been calculated for all phases, close the Prediction FIDES Application Factor file.
4. Enable Prediction FIDES Application Factor files for the appropriate assemblies and parts. For more information, see Enabling a Prediction FIDES Application Factor File for a FIDES Assembly or Part.

If the question set for a phase is very similar to one you have completed, you can copy and paste the phase record in the Application Phases pane, which also copies all of its question sets. Then, for Phase Code in the Application Phases pane, you select a different phase from all those in the Project’s Prediction FIDES Mission Profile file. As long as this phase is not already selected in another a phase record, the copied phase record is renamed. You can then modify the answers in the copied answered sets as needed for the newly inserted phase record.
