Generating a Custom FMEA Graph
To generate a custom FMEA graph, after you run calculations, you start the Graph Wizard and indicate the data to graph. For general information, see Using the Graph Wizard to Generate a Graph.
1. Select Tools > Graph Wizard. The Graph Wizard starts and displays the Load Graph Template page. The option for creating a custom graph is selected by default.
2. Click Next. If the Select Module page appears, select FMEA and click Next again. The FMEA Graph Type page appears.
3. Select the type of FMEA graph to generate, referring to the following table for descriptions and references for completing subsequent Graph Wizard pages.
Type
Description
Number of records grouped by a data field
Graphs a count of the records in the FMEA Tree Items or FMEA Worksheet table in relation to the values for another data field. For more information, see Generating a FMEA Number of Records Graph.
Value stored in a data field for each record
Graphs the data value for a data field for each table record. You select the data field for which to graph values and then indicate the field to use for displaying the x-axis labels for the value graph. For more information, see Generating a FMEA Data Value Per Record Graph.
Initial Risk Matrix
Graphs the values for fields specified in the definition for the initial risk matrix. For more information, see Generating a FMEA Risk Matrix Graph.
Resulting Risk Matrix
Graphs the values for fields specified in the definition for the resulting risk matrix. For more information, see Generating a FMEA Risk Matrix Graph.
Once the pages of the Graph Wizard are completed, the Select FMEA window opens if multiple FMEAs exist in the System file. The active FMEA is the default. After you select the FMEA you want to use for the graph and click OK, the graph is generated.
