Generating a FMEA Number of Records Graph
When Number of records grouped by a data field is selected on the FMEA Graph Type page of the Graph Wizard, you can graph record counts for a FMEA table in relation to the values for another data field in this table.
1. Start the Graph Wizard and complete the first few pages as described in Generating a Custom FMEA Graph.
2. On the FMEA Graph Type page, select Number of records grouped by a data field and click Next. The Select Table Type page appears.
3. For Table type, select the table with the records to count and click Next. The Group Records page appears so that you can select the data field by which to group records.
4. Complete the Group Records page:
a. For Table type, select the table with the data field by which you want to group records. Because fields cannot be selected from a foreign table, only the table selected in the first step is available.
b. For Data field, select the field by which you want to group records.
c. Click Next. The Second Group page appears. For information about completing it and subsequent pages, see Specifying a Second Grouping Criteria.
Once the wizard closes, the Select FMEA window opens if more than one FMEA exists in the System file. The exception is if either the FMEA Control Plans or DVPs table type was selected. Because control plans and DVPs are not tied to a particular FMEA, no FMEA selection is necessary. The graph is immediately generated.
5. If the Select FMEA window opens, select the appropriate FMEA and click OK to generate the graph.
