Associated FMEA DVPs Window
As described in Special Fields for Associating Records with DVPs, for any record in the FMEA Tree Items, FMEA Worksheet, or Global Attributes table, a special field displays the number of DVPs that are currently associated with the record. Clicking this field makes a browse button available. Clicking the browse button opens the Associated FMEA DVPs window.
All records in the FMEA DVPs table are listed so that you can specify which to associate with the record. The first column, which is always Associated, contains a checkbox that indicates if the DVP is associated with the record.
When the checkbox is selected, the DVP is associated.
When the checkbox is cleared, the DVP is not associated.
You can click Select All or Clear All to select or clear all checkboxes and then customize your selections from there.
The only other default column in this table is Test Description. This field describes the test and should include procedures where applicable. If desired, you can use the Format Builder to insert additional fields from the FMEA DVPs table. The name of the Table Format file for this table is Table Format (FMEA DVP Association).
In the table’s last row, clicking < Click here to insert a new record > inserts a DVP here and in the FMEA DVPs table. This new DVP is automatically associated with the record. If desired, you can clear the checkbox for Associated to remove the association.
Above the table is a filter bar that you can use to filter DVPs. For more information, see Filter Bar for Filterable Tables. Additionally, at the top of the window, you can use the filter selection control to apply an existing filter for the FMEA DVPs table to this table. You can also click the button for the Filter Wizard to create and apply a new filter.
Additionally, you can right-click and select commands for performing many of the same operations that you perform on table records in the System file. For more information, see Table How-Tos. While you cannot delete records from the Associated FMEA DVPs window, you can copy and paste them. When you perform these operations, the same operations are performed on the records in the FMEA DVPs table.
For the behaviors exhibited when you delete, copy, and paste records with associations in FMEA tables, see Delete, Copy, and Paste for Records with Associations.
