Setting Properties and User Options
You view and set file properties in the auto-hide File Properties window or in the File Properties pane in the Project Properties window. You view and set user options in the Options window. In the Enterprise Edition, to view and set file properties, you must have the necessary permissions.
To open the File Properties window for an open and active file, select View > File Properties.
To open the Project Properties window, select View > Project Properties. In the File Properties pane, you can specify properties for the Project as well as all System and support files in it. For more information, see Project Properties Window.
To open the Options window, select Tools > Options. In this window, you can set your personal user options. For more information, see User Options.
To set a property or option, you perform one of the following actions:
Select from a list.
Select or clear a checkbox.
Enter text or a numeric value.
Enter or select a folder.
Enter or select a file.
Select a color.
Select a font.
All changes that you make to properties and options are immediately saved. The following table describes the steps that you take for each action.

Select from a list.
1. In the Setting column, click the selection. A drop-down list control appears.
2. Click this control and select the list item.
Select or clear a checkbox.
1. Click the checkbox to switch between displaying and clearing the checkmark.
Entering text or a numeric value.
1. In the Setting column, click the selection.
2. Type the text or numeric value.
Enter or select a directory.
Directory selections are made only in the Options window.
1. Click the Setting column.
2. Use the browse button that becomes available to select the directory folder. For more information, see Selecting or Creating a File Using a Selection Window.
Enter or select a file.
1. Click the Setting column.
2. Use the browse button that becomes available to select the file. For more information, see Selecting or Creating a File Using a Selection Window.
Select a color.
1. In the Setting column, click the color selection. A drop-down list control appears.
2. Click this control. The color control appears.
3. Select the color. For more information, see Using the Color Control.
Select a font.
1. In the Setting column, click the selection. The font control appears. For more information, see Using the Font Control.
2. Select the font family, style, and size.
