Description
---|---|
Allocation method
Specifies the allocation method to use for an assembly whose failure rate is allocated. The default is Base, Non-normalized. For more information, see Reliability Allocation.
Apply default Process Grades
Indicates whether to apply the default Prediction Process Grade file to an assembly failure rate calculated by a model other than 217Plus or PRISM if no file is selected or inherited. This checkbox has no affect if the 217Plus or PRISM model is selected because these models always use Prediction Process Grade files. When a Process Grade file is not selected or inherited, these two models use a default Prediction Process Grade file that represents average processes or conditions. The default file that is used for other models when Apply default Process Grades is selected depends on the selection for Process Grade calculation model.
Calculate reliability at
The time in hours at which the IEC TR 62380 or RDF 2000 model is to calculate reliability. The default is 100. This value is required by the IEC TR 62380 and RDF 2000 models because of their use of cycling profiles (operating phases) instead of mission time for reliability prediction calculations.
Derating calculations
Indicates whether derating calculations are based on the nominal or worst case values in the Derating file. The default is the nominal values.
Include Dormant Failure Rate in Specified Failure Rate
Indicates whether to factor the dormant failure rate into the specified failure rate. When this checkbox is cleared (default), the dormant failure rate is not taken into account.
Process Grade calculation model
Specifies whether to use equations from the 217Plus model or PRISM model (default) when calculating process grade factors for a model other than 217Plus or PRISM. This property is availably only when both the 217Plus and PRISM models are licensed.
Process Grade type
The model to use to take process grade factors into account when using Prediction Process Grade files. Choices are Inherent (default) and Logistics. For more information, see Logistics Model Versus Inherent Model.
Telcordia upper confidence level
The value to use for the upper confidence interval when either Telcordia Issue 3 or Telcordia Issue 2 is selected as the calculation model. The value used by the Telcordia Issue 1 model and prior Bellcore models is always 90%. While the default for this property is 90%, you can use any percentage value between 1 and 99. If you do not enter a value here, 90% is used. For more information, see Telcordia Issue 3 and Issue 2 Fields.
Trickle down Process Grade factors
Indicates whether child assemblies inherit the Prediction Process Grade file that is specified for the parent assembly.
• When this checkbox is cleared (default), the file is not inherited. For the 217Plus or PRISM model, the default file is applied. For other models, Apply default Process Grades specifies whether the default file is applied.
• When this checkbox is selected, the file is inherited.
