Other Conversion Scenarios
As indicated in Database Conversion, the Windchill Risk and Reliability Conversion Wizard displays an additional page in either of the following situations:
The data to convert is in a Corporate database.
An existing Windchill Risk and Reliability database is found.
The wizard also displays an additional page if the default path for the Attachments folder for your previous installation was overridden with a custom path.
Database Administrator User—This page appears if you are converting the data in a Corporate database. It provides the database server and DBA account information that you need to convert your previous Corporate database to an Enterprise database. Relex 2009 was the last version to support a Corporate database. On this page, clicking Save As provides for saving this information to a text file, and clicking Print provides for printing it to a printer. You need this account information for database conversions required by future Windchill Risk and Reliability releases.
Delete Existing Data—This page appears only if a Windchill Risk and Reliability database exists. For example, if I want to create the Windchill Risk and Reliability database now is selected on the final page of the Setup program, once this program completes the installation, it creates the Windchill Risk and Reliability database. If you later start this wizard and select the option for using the same database server for newly converted files, this page appears. To continue, you must select Delete any existing Windchill Risk and Reliability 11.0 databases and configuration information and click Next. If the data to convert is in an Enterprise database, the Database Administrator Login Required page appears. This page indicates that DBA account information is required for the deletion of the existing database. By default, the checkbox is selected for using the same DBA account that was used to create the database.
Select Attachments Folder
—This page appears in the conversion process only if an override path was specified for the Attachments folder in your previous installation. In this case, the page displays the override path for the folder. You must specify the path for the Attachments folder in the new installation.
