This installation guide is for the Enterprise Edition, which consists of many different applications and services working together to provide the Windchill Risk and Reliability environment. A Windows user with full administrative rights uses the Windchill Risk and Reliability Enterprise Setup program to install these applications and services.

Once the Setup program runs successfully, you will have an operational Windchill Risk and Reliability system. This system always consists of the desktop application and the Administrator and Alert applications.

To run Windchill Risk and Reliability applications from client computers, you use the Client Setup program to install the necessary components on these computers.

You can install various Windchill Risk and Reliability Web Services components on different computers. However, to operate properly, these computers must meet minimum recommended requirements:

For any software package, increasing memory, processor speed, and hard drive space always improves performance. When you start a Setup program on a computer, the Windows Installer checks the operating system and service pack level. If minimum requirements are not met, an error message is shown and the process ends.
