CAD-driven Design
This section contains information about using CAD-driven design methodology with Windchill.
CAD-driven design can involve more loosely coupled structures given that the build process is controlled by a preference. You can choose to build part structure upon checkin of the CAD structure. However, you can also set the preference Build After Check In to delay the structure build (and related attribute and representation synchronization) until a later time when the build is explicitly triggered. This is typically done from the structure compare user interface.
