Project Status Table
The Project Status table is available on the information pages of objects that are interoperable (meaning that the object can be exchanged between projects and libraries or products). For a list of interoperable objects, see Permissions and Valid Object Types.
If the Project Status table is not immediately visible on an information page, click the new tab icon to create a new tab. When you create a new tab, the Customize menu appears. Select Customize > Collaboration > Project Status. For more information, see Customizing Information Page Tabs.
The Project Status table provides information about how an object has been shared or checked out between PDM and a project. For more information, see Exchanging Data Between Contexts.
Table View and Columns
The Project Status table provides status information about the object for each project to which it has been added. Your ability to view that information depends on your individual user access. If an object is shared with multiple projects, you can only see information about project versions to which you have the appropriate access.
Column
Description
Status Icon
A status icon indicates the share status:
Shared to a project
Checked out to a project
Shared from PDM
Checked out from PDM
Sent to PDM
Version
Identifies the version and iteration of the object currently available in the project.
Status
Identifies the interoperability status of the object:
Shared To—The object has been shared to the project, providing project members with read-only access.
PDM Checked out—The object has been checked out from PDM to create a project-specific version that can be modified from within the project environment.
Sent to PDM—This indicates one of two scenarios. Either the object was originally checked out from PDM, and now the source object has been updated to include modifications made from within the project environment. Or the object was created in the project and then sent to PDM.
Deprecated—Another project has modified the object and sent it back to PDM. A deprecated object can still be modified or converted to a shared object, but cannot be sent back to PDM.
Abandoned—A deprecated object has been converted to a shared object.
For more information, see Managing PDM Checkout Objects.
By
The user who added the object to the project or later changed the object status.
On
The date when the object was added to the project or when its status was changed.
Folder
The project folder in which the object resides.
Project
The project to which the object has been shared or checked out.
Actions
Actions are available from the table toolbar and from the right-click actions menu in the table rows.
*
The availability of actions depends on the status of the object and your user access.
For more information, see the following topics:
Action
Description
Send a checked-out object back to PDM.
The object is no longer checked out from PDM, and the version originally checked out is added to the project as a shared object.
*
This action is only available to undo a checkout from PDM to a project. You cannot use this action from a workspace.
You cannot use this action on PDM checkout objects that are currently added to a workspace or are checked out by an individual user. You must first check in the object to the project or remove it from the workspace.
For more information about working with PDM objects in a workspace, see the following topics:
Delete the selected object.
Remove a shared object from the project.
An object that is currently shared to the project is checked out from PDM.
Convert a deprecated object to a shared object.
