Resulting Objects Table
The Resulting Objects table displays the objects that are the result of a change. This table is available from the following locations:
New Change Task window
Edit Change Task window
The change task information page under the Details tab.
Table Columns and Views
The attribute columns in the Resulting Objects table provide basic information about the objects. Often, table columns correspond to the attributes of the object. For information about creating custom table views, hiding or adding columns, and setting column spacing, see Table and Table View Overview.
You can limit the objects displayed in the Resulting Objects table by selecting a view from the table view menu. You can also create a custom table view. For more information, see Creating and Editing New Table Views.
For information about additional object attributes, see Object Attributes.
For information on the status indicators that appear, see Object Status.
To compare the resulting and affected objects, click the Compare in Creo View icon available in the column. This action opens the representations of the corresponding objects in Creo View, where you can compare by selecting the resulting and affected objects as required.
*
If your Windchill installation is updated or upgraded, click Customize at the top of the table and add the Compare in Creo View column in the table view. The Compare in Creo View icon appears in the column.
Actions
Actions are available from the table toolbar, Actions menu, and from the right-click actions menu in the table rows.
That actions that appear depend on your user access and where the Resulting Objects table appears. For example, the Set Release Target action is only available when creating or editing a change task.
Some actions, such as Copy and Paste, are commonly available throughout Windchill. For information on these actions, see Actions Common Among Objects.
Remove
Remove the selected object.
Add Resulting Object
Search for objects to add to the table.
*
The Resulting Objects table includes autosuggest fields. For more information, see Quick Entry Using Autosuggest.
Collect Objects
Open a new window to collect related objects.
Set Release Target
Set the release target.
The Release Target is the available states an object can move to when the change notice is resolved. These states are defined in the life cycle template and acquired using the Change Transition enumeration. They may be further filtered by using Change Intent Release Target mapping rule. The order of the transitions in Release Target menu list of the Set Release Target action is the same as the Change Transition enumeration.
If there is only one allowable release target, this window confirms the transition.
If your system is configured for multiple release transitions, you can use this action to select a target state, or use the drop-down menu available in the Release Target column.
*
The action is only available when creating or editing a change task.
Mass Change
Open a window that allows you to make a mass change to the object. For more information, see About Mass Change Operations.
*
The action is only available when you access the Resulting Objects table from the change task information page.
Edit
Open a new window to edit the change task.
Set Impact Intent
Set the impact intent of a resulting object on the identified baseline. You can set the impact intent to:
Add the resulting object to the baseline only if it contains no other version.
Add the resulting object to the baseline if it contains no other version, or replace an existing version in the baseline if the resulting object is a later version.
Replace an existing version in the baseline with the resulting object, regardless of the version.
Remove the resulting object from the baseline only if it contains the same revision.
Not impact the identified baseline, which is the default impact intent.
For more information, see About Impact Association.
*
You can customize the table view to display the Impact Intent column. You can set the impact of a change task using this column as well. For more information on customizing table views, see Creating and Editing New Table Views.
Set Effectivity
Set effectivity on one or more objects at a time. For more information, see Setting Effectivity.
View Effectivity
View effectivity of one or more object. For more information, see Viewing Effectivity
Compare to Part Structure
View and compare any two part structures side by side. For more information, see Comparing Structures.
Publish to CAD
Synchronize mass changes across multiple parts or part assemblies with an associated CAD structure. It queues submitted CAD publishing tasks and functions uninterrupted in the background until all tasks are processed. For more information, see Publishing Mass Changes to CAD.
