Copy File or Folder
Use the Copy File or Folder action to copy a file or folder to the specified location.
Complete the following steps to use the Copy File or Folder action in your workflow:
1. Drag the
Copy File or Folder action under
Copy File or Folder to the canvas, place the pointer on the action, and then click
or double-click the action. The Copy File or Folder window opens.
2. Edit the Label, if needed. By default, the label name is the same as the action name.
If you previously added a connector type, select the appropriate Connector Type, and under Connector Name, select the connector.
4. Click TEST to validate the connector.
5. Click
MAP CONNECTOR to execute the action using a connector that is different from the one that you are using to populate the input fields. In the
Runtime Connector field, provide a valid Dropbox connector name. For more information about
MAP CONNECTOR, see
Using Map Connector.
6. In the Source Path list, select or specify the file or folder that you want to copy.
7. In the Destination Path list, select or specify destination path where you want to copy your file or folder.
8. In the Allow To Shared Folder list, select true to copy the specified file or folder to a shared folder; otherwise, select false. The default is set to false.
9. In the Auto Rename list, select true to rename the file or folder if the destination folder contains a file or folder with the same name; otherwise, select false. The default is set to false.
If you have a file or folder with the same name in the destination folder and you select true, the file or folder is renamed.
If you have a file or folder with the same name in the destination folder and you select false, the workflow fails, and you get a message that a file or folder already exists, or that there is a file in an ancestor path.
10. In the Allow to Move Ownership list, select true to transfer the ownership of the specified file to another user; otherwise, select false. The default is set to false.
11. Click Done.
