Searching for Users by Properties
User property search works in every place in Zinc where you can search for people. You can search by property value on web, desktop, and mobile apps. Search results show only users whose searchable property values match your query.

At least one user property must be configured as searchable by your administrator. Properties that are not marked as searchable do not return results.

To search for users by property values, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to any people search field in Zinc. User property search is available in the following places:
◦ Message composer To field (web and desktop only)
◦ People directory search
◦ Add Member search field in an existing conversation
◦ Conversation list search, under People (web and desktop only)
◦ Message or Calling search (mobile only)
2. Enter a property value that you want to search.
3. Click the user you want to message or add.

Matching property values appear in the search results below each user's name so you can see why that user was included in the results.
