Troubleshooting Push Notifications
In some cases, Service Board users who use Firefox do not receive push notifications. This issue results in two outcomes: the color of the Refresh icon in the Job List does not change from blue to orange when updates are received, and browser notifications do not appear. The issue occurs only on systems where the system proxy is enabled and Firefox is set to use the system proxy. To resolve the issue, you can either disable the system proxy in Firefox, or for users who are behind a proxy that they must use to connect to Service Board, you can set a local proxy for Firefox.
To troubleshoot push notifications:
• On the Firefox Preferences page, in the Network Settings section, click Settings, and then in the Connection Settings dialog box, under Configure Proxy Access to the Internet, do one of the following:
◦ To disable the system proxy, click No proxy.
◦ sTo set a local Firefox proxy, click Manual proxy configuration and specify the applicable proxy server and port.
