Configuring Housekeeping Retention Periods and Limits
You configure the Cleanup Interval and Max to Keep operation parameters of the Housekeeping Job operation to define the retention period for time-based cleanup and set retention limits for the records related to configurable and system-mandated objects to be deleted by the Housekeeping system job.
To configure housekeeping retention periods and limits:
1. To define the retention period for time-based cleanup of records related to configurable objects, in Max Designer, click > , and then in the list view, click Housekeeping Job.
2. On the record page, on the Operation Parameters tab, click Cleanup Interval, and then on the Cleanup Interval operation parameter record page, in the Parameter Value field, use the slider to configure a time interval for record deletion.
3. In the top left corner, click
Save and Close (

).
4. To set retention limits for records related to system-mandated objects, on the Operation Parameters tab, click Max To Keep, and then on the Max to Keep operation parameter record page, in the Parameter Value field, update the value to specify the number of records to be retained.
5. In the top left corner, click
Save and Close (

).

• The Max Records operation parameter is not used by the Housekeeping Job operation.
• The Full Export Attachment Delete Interval operation parameter is used to delete records generated by the Full Export option, which is typically used only for implementation and integration purposes. This option is not applicable for day-to-day usage, so there is no need to update this operation parameter.
