Enabling Salesforce Files
Salesforce Files helps simplify Output Document file management and collaboration. You can save and store the Output Documents as Attachments or Salesforce Files. By default, the Output Documents are stored as Attachments.
To Enable Salesforce Files
1. Set the global setting GBL037 to True.
2. Go to ServiceMax Setup > Service Flow Manager > SFM Transaction & Docs Designer and edit any Output Document process.
3. In the Output Document process, go to the Advanced Options tab > File Properties and select the Enable Version Control checkbox. The generated Output Documents are stored as Salesforce Files under Files as well as Notes & Attachments section on the server. You can preview and download the Output Documents of type Files.
Key Points to Remember
ServiceMax limits the size of Salesforce Files uploads and downloads to 25 MB.
You can view only the latest version of the Output Document on the ServiceMax Go App.
You can view all versions of the Output Document on the server by clicking Show All Versions.
Deleting the Output Document stored as Salesforce File deletes all versions of the file.
*
For the updated and correct version of the output document to be available, you should always perform data sync in your app to sync the latest data to the server.
