Launching App-to-App
Android and iOS
This custom action allows mobile users to have an action menu item that can launch and pass information to the third-party target app. SFM Custom Action of type App-to-App enables customers to export (send) and import (receive) work order data and its detail lines, to and from the third-party app.
To send Go app data to a third-party app
1. Open any Work Order record.
2. Launch the App-to-App Custom Action from the
Actions menu and export data to a third-party app. Data sent from the Go App for iOS/Android to the third-party app contains the URI scheme definition as configured by your administrator. For more information, see

To receive data from a third-party app to Go app
1. Open any Work Order record.
2. Launch the App-to-App Custom Action from the
Actions menu and import data from the third-party app. Data received from the third-party app to the Go App for iOS/Android contains the URI scheme definition as configured by your administrator. For more information, see

Windows
This custom action allows mobile users to have an action menu item that can launch and pass information to the third-party target app. SFM Custom Action of type App-to-App enables customers to export (send in JSON format) and import (receive) work order data and its detail lines, to and from the third-party app.
To launch the third-party app from Go App:
1. Open any Work Order record in View SFM.
2. Launch the App-to-App Custom Action from the
Actions menu and export data to a third-party app. Data sent from Go App for Windows to the third-party app contains the URI scheme definition as configured by your administrator. For more information, see

You cannot launch the apps with .exe format from ServiceMax Go for Windows.

To receive data from a third-party app to Go App:
1. Open any Work Order record.
2. Launch the App-to-App Custom Action SFM from the Actions menu and import data from the third-party app.

You can also launch the deep link to import data from the third-party app.
