App-to-App Communication
SFM Custom Action of type App-to-App enables technicians to export (send) and import (receive) work order data and its detail lines, to and from the third-party app. For example, the technician needs to process a payment via the customer's credit card for the work being performed. To accomplish this, the technician launches the third-party app from within ServiceMax Go App. The third-party app is capable of capturing credit card information, processing the payment, and returning to ServiceMax Go App.
For more information on App-to-App configuration, refer to
App-to-App Configuration.

During the app-to-app communication, the Windows Go app includes only the header record and the configured action parameters. Child records are not included due to the limitation of 100 KB. If the header data is more than 100 KB, then the app does not launch the third-party app. For more information on the Microsoft data transfer limit, refer to the Microsoft Launch URI section.
