Configuring Appointment Color
You can configure the rules for Events linked to Work Orders in the Appointment Color tab that helps the technicians view different calendar appointments. The configurations apply to the Event object set in GBL025 (Salesforce Event Object or ServiceMax Event Object).
It is recommended to use the ServiceMax Mobile Console for configuring appointment color for the following reasons.
• Configure and manage the rules easily by eliminates the custom settings creation.
• Create more rules.
• Less error-prone.
To configure colors to Appointments based on Work Order fields:
1. Click Create New Configuration.
2. Provide the following details in the New Color Configuration area.
Fields | Description |
---|
Title | Enter the name for the configuration. For example, High Priority. |
Choose appointment color | Click the color palette to pick a color or enter the hex code. |
Choose an SFM Expression | Click Select. A Work Order Expression dialog box is displayed. Select an expression by clicking the radio button or create an expression by clicking New Expression. Click Apply. The SFM expression is used as a condition for evaluating the configuration. |
Save | Click Save to save the configuration. |
You can:
• Create up to 10 configurations for different SFM expressions.
• Reorder the configurations to match the priority.
• Edit the default configuration, and this configuration is displayed at the end.
• Delete the configuration.
A default configuration is displayed at the bottom of the list when the first configuration is created. The ServiceMax Go app applies the default configuration if an appointment does not match any color configurations.
• Title: Default Appointment Color.
• Hex Code: #004F9E.
• SFM Expression: The Default Appointment Color configuration does not have any SFM expression.
• The default configuration can be edited for defining color only. It is deleted automatically when the last configuration is deleted.
| • If you do not configure any of the rules in the ServiceMax Mobile Console, then the appointment colors are based on the custom settings configured for Events linked to Work Orders. • When both configurations (ServiceMax Mobile Console and custom settings) exist, the ServiceMax Mobile Console takes precedence. |
