Map View Prerequisites
The following considerations are important before you open the May view:
Without internet connectivity, the map view displays a blanks screen and a pop-up window with following error message: 'Unable to connect to the Internet. Please retry once the connection is available.'
Ensure that Location tracking is turned on in the device and is enabled for the Field Service App, to get Driving Directions from one work order location to another. To know how to enable Location tracking, refer to GPS Location Tracking.
Ensure that each work order scheduled for the day has valid values in the Latitude/Longitude or Service Location (City, State, and Zip) fields.
In absence of Latitude/Longitude values, Service Location fields (City, State, and Zip) are considered for plotting
If City and State values are not puresent, then value from the Zip field is considered for plotting.
If Latitude/Longitude and Service Location values are not present, then only the current location of the technician is plotted
If none of the above values are present, then the default world map is displayed.
*
The values of Latitude/ Longitude fields in the corresponding work orders are considered to plot any routes. In the absence of Latitude/ Longitude field values, the Service Location field values (City, State, and Zip) are considered to plot daily route map from current location to work order location.
For plotting home address, ensure that technician's Salesforce record is associated with a Technician/Equipment record. Also, the corresponding Technician/Equipment record should have valid values in address fields (Street, City, State, Country, and Zip).
