Configuring Depot Service Request Settings
You can configure rules to define criteria and field mappings that control what end users can see when submitting a
Depot Service Request. These rules help ensure that users view only relevant options, enabling accurate data collection, reducing errors, and improving service efficiency. For more information, see
Creating Depot Service Request Rule.
You can assign each rule to one or more group profiles. The configuration applies only to users in the assigned group profile.

A group profile can be associated with only one rule.

With a Depot Request Configuration rule, you can:
• Define field expressions to filter the available options in fields on the Depot Service Request page. This allows you to customize options based on end users context or region.
• Configure field mappings to map fields from the Service Request Line to the Work Order. By default, most fields are mapped. Use this option to map additional fields based on your requirements.
• Configure the Depot Locator Match Settings to assign the appropriate depot to a product. These settings take precedence over the Depot Qualifier configuration. For more information, see
Depot Match Considerations.
Use Case
A global manufacturing enterprise, operates service depots worldwide for equipment maintenance. When call center agents in India raise a request, they should only see Indian states as selectable options, and only depots located within India should be available for assignment.
