Task Templates
A Task Template, also known as a Work Order Purpose, is a reusable list of predefined tasks and parts. You can associate a Task Template with a PM Plan, where tasks listed in the template are automatically created and assigned to the owner of the PM Work Orders.
You can associate the Task Template with Time-based or Condition-based PM Plan Templates as explained below:
On Time-based PM Plan Templates, Task Templates can be associated as Work Order Purpose on the PM Schedule Template. You can also associate a Task Template at the PM Plan Template header, but only to assign required parts.
On Condition-based PM Plan Templates, Task Templates can be associated with the PM Plan Template header as a Work Order Purpose. Task Templates cannot be associated with the individual PM Schedule Templates, but when the PM Plan is created using the PM Plan Template, the Task Template associated with each PM Schedule condition on the PM Plan can be edited.
When a Task Template is associated with a PM Plan, tasks listed in the template are automatically created and assigned to the owner of the PM Work Orders.
A Task Template contains the following sets of information:
Details: High-level information about the template, such as name and description.
Tasks: A list of tasks for the Task Template. These are mapped to a PM Work Order upon creation.
Required Parts: A list of parts required for the PM Work Order generated from the PM Plan. These are mapped to the Work Details of a PM Work Order upon creation.
