Submodules
A submodule is a specific functionality within a module. A submodule may be implemented using one or more technologies such as Visualforce, Apex (Triggers & Classes), Flex, HTML5, and so on. Depending upon the functionality implemented, a submodule may or may not have a user interface. Optionally, submodules can have one or more configuration settings and/or custom labels.
Standard submodules defined by ServiceMax under each standard module cover the various associated features and distinct functionalities. Hence, you typically use Submodules configuration screen to list the settings, if any, under a specific submodule.
If you extend ServiceMax to configure custom submodules with associated settings and custom code under standard or custom module, you manage the submodules using the Submodules configuration screen, to create, edit, or delete any custom submodule. Standard submodules cannot be edited or deleted.
