Custom Field Replacement for Search of Complex Serial/Lot Numbers
When performing an FCO search on the ‘Serial/Lot Number’ field using string operators, complex alphanumeric values with differing lengths may return inaccurate results. Orgs may standardize their serial number value lengths by introducing a custom field with appropriate character padding. Indicate the custom field in this setting, and the FCO Search will automatically reference the field when performing a search on ‘Serial/Lot Number,’ using any string operator.
