ServiceMax Triggers
You can use the Trigger Control page to turn OFF/ON the trigger executions that are part of the ServiceMax managed package. By default ServiceMax triggers are enabled for all users. Use this screen to disable ServiceMax trigger execution for specific Users, Salesforce profiles, or at a Global level for an Object.
For example, on a work order object, if the Type is set as Global, and any user performs Check Entitlement, then auto entitlement will be not be executed. Similarly, if the Type is set as Salesforce Profile, then if the user who belongs to that Salesforce Profile performs Check Entitlement, auto entitlement will be not be executed.
This screen allows to manage trigger execution for the following 17 objects:
Case, Installed Product, Parts Request, Product Stock, Parts Order Line, Parts Order, Parts Request Line, Service/Maintenance Contract, Covered Product, Product Warranty, Location, Stock Adjustment, Stock History, Stock Transfer, Work Order, Work Detail, and User.
Any changes to the Trigger Controls page is audited. The Audit trail can be viewed on the View ServiceMax Configuration Changes > ServiceMax Configurations Trail page.
To understand which functionality will not be executed when triggers are disabled on specific objects, see Trigger Dictionary.
