Posting Usage/Consumption to Inventory
After creating consumption or usage lines for a Work Order, you must post the consumption to inventory to ensure accurate stock tracking and maintain inventory accountability. For more information, see

To post usage or consumption lines of a Work Order to inventory:
1. From the Home page, open a Work Order record.
Ensure that the Work Order Status is Open.
2. Click the Post Inventory SFM. The Post to Inventory-Work Order Usage is displayed.
3. Click Submit to confirm the entries.

If your organization tracks inventory at the serial number level, the bottom section of the screen allows you to enter/select serial numbers for serialized products. To enter serial numbers for a product, select the checkbox against the product in the list. For moire information, see Serial Number Selection.
