Optional Customizations and Configurations (Contract Up Time)
• If you need to measure this metric based on any custom attributes/conditions/mapping specific to your organization,
• following are the aspects you can consider:
• If not using the OOTB field, create a custom field in Work Order: Installed Product lookup field
• Create a custom field / extend a picklist field in Work Order: To indicate if the work order has downtime details
• If not using the OOTB field, create a custom field in Service/Maintenance Contract: Business Hours lookup field
• Configure a new custom SFM transaction / extend an existing custom transaction:
• Capture Work Order installed product’s downtime information as Down Time records (suggestion: set Allow
• Zero Lines as Disallow)
• Mark the work order as having downtime details (by automatically setting the custom field / extended picklist
• field to appropriate value)
• If required, configure custom SFM expressions to qualify service/maintenance contracts and work orders for processing.
• The new standard SFM expression available for this is SVMXSTD: To Identify Work Orders with.
Downtime details
• If required, configure custom SFM expressions to qualify covered products for processing.
• The new standard SFM expression available for qualifying covered products is: SVMXSTD:Valid Covered Products
• If additional fields need to be mapped between business and metric objects, configure custom SFM mappings between Service/Maintenance Contract and SPM – Contract Up Time objects.
In the SFM mapping, do not include fields such as Installed Product and Business Hours, which are mandatorily mapped from source to metric objects through specific configurable parameters.
• If required, update the value of the global configuration setting SET003(default: 365 days), to limit the age of the service/maintenance contracts considered for a metric generation.
