For successful field service, you need to ensure that technician has access to up-to-date data and technician's record of work in the mobile app is reflected in the server as soon as possible. You can achieve this by configuring the interval for scheduled data sync, configuration sync, and data purge in the Synchronization Settings tab of Mobile Configuration screen.

You can also configure in this screen the scope of old data to be maintained in the mobile device, for technician to have easy access to recent data. You can do this by defining the number of past days beyond which events and related records can be deleted and the number of past days beyond which other data can be purged.

Another configuration option to synchronize mobile data to server is related to GPS Location Tracking. This feature can be enabled and interval for synchronizing this data from the mobile device to server can be configured in the Other Settings tab of Mobile Configuration screen.
