Executing Advanced Technician Search
Following steps show how to execute advanced technician search.
1. Select a work order in the Work Order grid.
2. Click the Configure Advanced Technician Search to view the auto-filled criteria in each tab.
*
Check the Configure Advanced Technician Search section for more details about the criteria in each tab.
3. Personalize the criteria as needed and click Apply.
You can uncheck the checkbox at the top left of each tab, to not consider the specific criteria for matching. For example, you can uncheck the checkbox Include skills in the search in Skills tab, to omit search based on Skill Matching Rules.
You can add or remove skills by clicking the Add button & entering data, or by clicking the Delete icon.
You can make these updates for any skill: Mark it as optional or mandatory, by unchecking or checking the Required checkbox; update the minimum skill level for a required skill, to consider a technician as a match.
You can add/modify/remove expressions in Eligibility tab.
You can change the Preference of listed technicians in Technician Constraints tab.
4. Check the match % in the results to know the technicians with the best match. The matched technicians are displayed in the tree grouped by match %, with the highest match % grouped at the top of the tree.
5. Check the matching technician's location on the map to determine their proximity to the work order. Map is plotted for the selected work order and the matched technicians, with the option to specify the search radius around the work order location. By default, the route is plotted from the technician's Home location.
6. Click the Advanced Technician Search button to execute the search with the auto-filled criteria.
*
If you have personalized the list of Skills or changed Preferences for any technician for the work order, these selections are persisted on the selected work order. The personalization is applied when you execute the search again by clicking the Advanced Technician Search button.
7. Click the Reset button to clear the search and redraw the tree, listing all the teams and technicians. This will also clear the map.
*
When the Reset button is displayed with a yellow border around it, it indicates that the tree displays search results.
