Event Creation
The following details apply to creation / update of both Work Order and non-Work Order events.
• When
GBL025 is set to Salesforce Event for the org-wide ServiceMax profile, Dispatch Console creates events as follows:
◦ If a technician has an active Salesforce User associated, create Salesforce events. The maximum duration of event which can be created is 14 days in this case.
◦ If a technician does not have an associated Salesforce User, but has the Enable Scheduling checkbox checked, create ServiceMax events. There is no restriction on the duration of events created in this case.
Dispatch Console throws the error 'Creation of events has not been enabled for the selected Technician' under any of the following conditions:
◦ The Salesforce user associated with the technician is inactive.
◦ There is no associated Salesforce User AND Enable Scheduling checkbox is not checked.
• When
GBL025 is set to ServiceMax Event for the org-wide ServiceMax profile, Dispatch Console creates events as follows:
◦ If a technician has an associated active Salesforce User AND has Enable Scheduling checkbox checked, create ServiceMax events. There is no restriction on the duration of events created in this case.
◦ If a technician does not have an associated Salesforce User, but has Enable Scheduling checkbox checked, create ServiceMax events. There is no restriction on the duration of events created in this case.
Dispatch Console throws the error 'Creation of events has not been enabled for the selected Technician' under any of the following conditions:
◦ Technician has an active Salesforce User associated, but does NOT have Enable Scheduling checkbox checked.
◦ Salesforce User associated with the technician is inactive.
◦ There is no associated Salesforce User AND Enable Scheduling checkbox is not checked.
